Always wanted to try out the Streamlight Microstream as well as a ZT knife. Hopefully at some point this year we will get our hands on them!

Well it looks like I will get to experience a Kershaw Knockout as my next knife.
I was hog hunting Tuesday and I was crawling through I tunnel a hog had made through the blackberry bushes and I think that is where I lost my ZT 350. I usually have a 550 cord loop attached to a small carabiner attached to my belt loop. I learned that when I lost a 1st production Spyderco Civilian trout fishing in North Georgia Mountains.
Oh well once the snow melts I’ll go find it. Hopefully. Maybe I’ll get a hog also.
Keep your head on a swivel.

Hopefully it will turn up, I hate losing a good knife (or any knife for that matter!). The Kershaw Knockout is one hell of a knife- let us know what you think of it!

I like the contents of your pocket dump and have to admit that mine can use some upgrading! Frankly, I think i am one of these folks that has been in the “prepper” mindset for a long time, and finding your website is a real joy, as it is free from the panic and fear that seems to drive the “world is out to get me” viewpoints other sites seem to have.
To me,both you and your wife have a refreshing outlook on the practicalities of living with potential austerity that deals with our human condition in heartfelt fashion.
Once we lose that..in my opinion..survival is the least of our worries.. Dan7

Thank you so much Dan! I think this is one of the nicest comments we have ever received!
I agree that the fearmongering in the survival/prepper community can get a bit much at times. We try hard to ignore the over dramatization (like all that ebola nonsense) and focus on basic prepping principles & down to earth gear reviews.
