As you already know, Thomas and I moved to the UK just last month. Thomas lived in the UK before he moved up to the Great North (Canada!) for me a number of years back (for those wondering, yes he does have a British accent), and so with a little effort, he managed to find some of his old knives lying around at his grandmother Sue’s house, where we’re staying for a little while. Turns out she used the Ka-Bar as a gardening knife!
Our full collection of knives and gear is still in Canada. We’ll eventually be reunited with it, but didn’t want to risk trouble packing it since we were bringing our cat to the UK this trip. In the meantime, we are slowly rebuilding a knife collection from scratch (minus the few knives Thomas found) – the Douk-Douk being our first purchase here. The Douk-Douk is currently being shared between us until we buy a second; and yes, we do love it enough to buy a second!
Needless to say, it’s pretty strange going from roughly 400-500 knives to just a small handful. We’ll work on that. ;)

Be careful of carrying any locking folders in public.

Certainly will – why we’ll have to have many new knives in our collection anyway (didn’t have too many that met the UK legal criteria before).
