How is the “Ditto” working for you? I have read comments about it draining battery and loosing connection to the phone?
Does it work if the device is in a sidepocket on the leg and the phone in a chestpocket?
I often miss calls and messages because noisy environment and a little bad hearing.
I have been looking for a Smartwatch but it is a little expensive just to get notified.

After a good chunk of time using it (bout a month!) I feel confident saying it works for me as advertised. Sometimes it takes a while to register the fact that I’m no longer near it (not sure what the distance you have to leave for it to go off at actually), but for everything else it’s perfect. I like the fact that you can switch the number of vibrations for each type of notification. It’s really handy. And to me this is better than a smart watch cause I would never wear a smart watch (also battery drainage for me would be an issue).
Thomas tells me that those who had battery drainage issues and other such issues were using it before the software patch. We didn’t start using ours until after. No such issues for us, and the battery definitely is still going strong a month into use.
It works for me while being across the room from me. I could go outside with it and have the phone inside and be notified (depending on distance). It’s really handy. I keep it around my belt loop, personally, as that’s most convenient for me. Discreet, easy to feel, and yet (since it vibrates quite strongly) not in a place that’s so strong it will startle me.
Like I said before – for me, it’s been everything it’s cracked up to be.

What do you think of the Des Horn?

I actually love it! I’ve since taken it out of my purse because I kind of want it to be a collector’s item from now on. It’s so gorgeous – am going to have so much fun photographing it. :)
