Well, it’s Black Friday again, meaning Thomas is currently scouring the net for any and all deals we can personally take advantage of, and I’m scouring the net for knife & gear deals you all can take advantage of!

Seriously, every single time this day rolls around the corner, I kick myself wishing we were in the States – maybe one day we’ll hop on a plane and spend the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend in Dallas or something, just to take advantage of the many deals. 100% worth a trip. But I digress…

Now let’s take a look at what’s going down at Amazon & some other retailers. Amazon’s been doing Black Friday deals all week, though from what I’ve seen, much of it seems to be the same products that have gone on sale today, with a smidgen less of a discount previously than they’ve gone on today. Amazon’s got a specific page for the weekly deals, and then there’s the proper Black Friday deals page page for sales that are happening today. Check those out if you’re interested in checking out products besides those that fit into the categories of knives & outdoor gear. On today’s Black Friday deals page, you can go back and see what discounts you missed out on if you’re a masochist and really love knowing what you could’ve had if you’d just woken up earlier.

But again this year, there weren’t many great knife discounts on Amazon (seems Cyber Monday is a little better for that kind of thing, so tune in again on Cyber Monday if you’re interested in that). We’re therefore taking a look at our favourite non-Amazon retailer of knives, Blade HQ, first in order to give you an adequate fix of edged-tool deals.

These, I think, have been a lot better than last year, though mostly in terms of diversity, and still not a lot to break the bank over (most sales featured here are roughly 20-30% off). I’m holding out for Cyber Monday, honestly, because the Black Friday sales in the outdoor department could be significantly better.
