Thomas pulled out his current favourite Kershaws for today’s pocket dump. I’d pull out some more of my favourite knives, but I’ve gotta admit, my top 2 have very consistently been the Spyderco Sage 1 and the Nishijin glass fibre Spyderco Lum Chinese. Since I already featured those in a knife drop, nothing new to feature in terms of my favourites yet!

Just wondering if you’ve ever owned the tanto version of the Kershaw cqc 6k, it’s the 7k? Also do you know any US sellers who ship to UK and Ireland without charging more than the knife is worth?
Thanks for the twitter follow too.

Nope, don’t own it. I own the 6K so I figured I didn’t need the 7K.
BladeHQ has been used by many brits to import knives. Knifecenter too I think.

I have a Kershaw Skyline. Nice little EDC blade. Inexpensive , built well, and USA made. Simple flipper design

I am looking for a knife for myself, but I am a small girl. I find that some knives are too big, bulky, or just heavy for me to use when I am backpacking. I have found that some benchmade fits ok, is there other brands that might be small girl friendly? @gloria2719

Small Kershaws and quite a few Spydercos sound like they’d suit you well. Try taking a look at these:
Kershaw Shuffle
Spyderco Dragonfly 2 – Review
Spyderco Balance – Review
Kershaw Leek (pictured above)
Spyderco Delica 4 – Review
Between Thomas and I, we personally own all of the above knives, so we can vouch for them being good. My personal favourites of the ones listed are the Kershaw Shuffle and the Spyderco Dragonfly 2, with the Leek coming in third.
I’ll do a full article on best pick knives for women now that I know there’s some interest. If you’d like to know my personal favourites, they’re the Spyderco Sage 1 (reviewed here) and the Spyderco Lum Chinese Folder (reviewed here) in case you missed that bit in the article above.
Good luck! And let me know if anything piques your interest. Would love to know what types of knives other women are into.

I’m technically “petite” at 5’3″ and just love the Kershaw Leek, I’ve carried them for years. Good fit for small hands, but enough knife to get the job done whatever that may be.
Elise Xavier says
It is amazing. Kershaw makes a lot of small knives that are perfect for the job, but the Leek is definitely one of my favourites.

I know this is an old post but check out the Kershaw Skyline.. it is a CLASSIC, definitely my favorite pocket knife! it is thin and lightweight with a nice sized blade.. clip can be configured for tip down carry.. the downside is they used to be aroun $25 but now run $45+
Elise Xavier says
Keep meaning too as so many people seem to be obsessed with that knife!! Keep forgetting to add it to cart, and of course everything is also more expensive here in the UK so we have to make sure we’re not getting ripped off :P
Was so much easier buying knives in Canada!!
