A minimalist EDC update for doing things around my grandmother’s garden. This, of course, does not include all the things in my pocket that can be seen here.
The Mandra is a super nifty little knife. I would define it broadly as a neck knife, but you can just about get a full three-finger grip, which makes it viable (in my opinion) for some more intensive tasks. Review obviously coming soon.
As for the necklace, it has historical value to me, even though it’s “just” a replica.

Replica 6th Century Bronze Thor Hammer Pendant
Huck says
That’s a great looking Mjolnir, Thomas. Is it a style thing, or did you convert?
Thomas Xavier says
I wear Mjolnir ironically, Loki is my one true god. ;)
Kent McManigal says
Around my neck I carry a NAA mini-revolver (.22 LR) in a neck holster I made years ago, and (usually) a choker featuring a prairie dog jaw bone. Recently I have also been wearing a necklace with a Yin Yang symbol. For many years I wore a medicine bag made of braintan buckskin around my neck, but I got out of the habit of that several years back. Now it hangs on the wall.
Thomas Xavier says
Never heard of anyone with a neck revolver before! How does it work in terms of quick access? Do you have it as a last ditch defensive option?
Kent McManigal says
It isn’t a quick access thing– more like last-ditch concealed insurance.
Thomas Xavier says
Ah, gotcha. Thanks for getting back to me Kent, I was admittedly quite curious.
